The Client

Copper Pantry Consulting is a Hospitality Consulting firm setup by a talented Irish man who has worked across the globe in leading restaurant and cafés including one of the most prestigious restaurants in Sydney, Banc. The vision of the owner is to impart his knowledge of 28 years to small and medium sized family owned restaurants and cafés in order to either get their venture up and running or help them turnaround their business if they are in distress.

The Job

The client approached Websites ‘N’ More in March 2017 after selling off a successful salad business in the heart of Sydney CBD and shared his vision of Copper Pantry. The project involved creating a new logo, website and undertaking a SEO campaign to gain visibility on search engines. The challenging part about the project was that the client wanted to use the same brand ‘Copper Pantry’ to operate the consulting firm and a café (food business) that he wished to open down the track. This meant that we needed to split the website between two lines of business and incorporate this in the logo as well.

Logo Design – After a few hours of discussion and a few sketches, we narrowed down to the idea of incorporating the following two elements in the logo,

“Copper is a metal which was once used for making coins, hence the round(ed) shape. The target audience could easily relate this to the consultancy side of the business.

A pantry is a place for holding containers/bottles/supplies, hence the idea of incorporating the embellishments on the coin. The aim was to make the food (café) side of the business of the brand identifiable”

Web Design – The brief from the client included the following points, warm, inviting rustic and appealing texture and no use of polished images. We kicked off the project by developing a navigational structure, this was the most important aspect of the project since the website will be used for both the businesses down the track and we need to make sure that the website is split from the top-down (from the main navigational menu all the way down to the content-driven pages). We also needed to make sure that the users could easily navigate between the two sections of the website and perform intended actions with ease.

Search Engine Optimisation – 3 months into the campaign we were able to achieve top 3 positions for 8 out of 10 keywords that were selected at the beginning of the campaign.

The Result

We have been able to deliver a clean and simple logo and website as per the clients brief. 3 weeks, 30 emails and 3 face to face meetings and the client has been extremely happy with the results achieved during the web design process! On the SEO front, we were able to achieve top 3 positions for 80% of the keywords. This has resulted in the client website receiving 200 unique hits a month from the search engines and a steady flow of enquiries.
