The Client

Sparky’s Electrical & Data Pty. Ltd. is a Sydney based electrical services provider. From its humble beginning in a fully stocked van, established in 2012 under the guidance and leadership of founder Jake Morris, the company has now grown to a team of 3 fully qualified electricians.

The Job

Having previously worked with some well established Sydney based electricians; Jake understood the importance of a good digital presence and how it could impact the bottom line of his business. In mid-2017, Jake got in touch with our team at Websites ‘N’ More as he was wanting to design a completely new website and develop a digital marketing strategy.

• Logo Design – While he was happy with the existing logo, Jake wanted our team of graphic designers to make some changes so that the logo stood out from the crowd. We hit the sketch pad and made some changes to the logo, adding a few new elements and removing a few unnecessary ones. We also recommend a new typeface in order to make the branding more prominent.

• Content Development – SEO comes before web design. Being a strong believer in this view. We helped the client structure the content of the website in order to effectively target keywords through SEO and to maximise user experience. First, a sitemap was created that focused on each of the services that the client provided along with some other essential pages e.g. About, Contact etc. Once the sitemap for the website was finalised our content writers focused on producing content keeping in mind search engine guidelines.

• Web Design – The website is built using WordPress as the Content Management System. According to the clients brief the following points needed to be considered while designing the new website: Family-Friendly, Focus on Quality and Honest Pricing, Use of Icons that were self-explanatory and clear call-to-action buttons so that a prospective customer could ring through. From the wire-frames to the final designs, it took us nearly 3 weeks to complete the project. The result, a modern website with user-friendly interfaces that send out a clear message to the audience about the company’s belief and clear call to action.

The Result

The client was quite happy with the final results that were achieved during the website design process. We are now closely working with the client on the SEO campaign and will publish results as we move along and have enough data in hand.
